HISTORY:
Threycus's birth parents were both killed in an industrial accident when he was eight. He and his younger sister (then age five) were adopted by their uncle, his wife and children. He adjusted well at first, but as he grew older he grew all the more quarrelsome and rebellious.
To say Threycus was a troubled youth would be misleading. As a youth he was trouble. From increasingly cruel pranks to outright bullying the incorrigible snowkitten grew increasingly more rambunctious and antisocial with each passing year. When he started getting into petty thievery his uncle transfered him to a military boarding school for him to learn discipline.
It was not easy at first. He spent more than his fair share in isolation and on punishment details, but finally the instructors managed to wear him down until he figured out how much easier it is when you work within the system. Now that he was applying his efforts to working within the system he became a natural leader, having been a miscreant for so long he could read his fellow soldiers and find ways to motivate them. First as a squad leader, then towards the end as a platoon leader he took the time to understand each of the other students, well at least enough to motivate them enough to get the job done so they could all get back to what they'd rather be doing.
SERVICE RECORD:
Just as he was starting his carrer as an Andorian Marine, the Dominion War broke out and he requested transfer to Starfleet (as a crewman not an officer). Instead they offered him a spot at Starfleet Academy. His previous military experience again made him a good leader, even though he struggled as much as most of the other students in all the science and technology courses they were required. Still he managed to graduate in the top third and managed to get a recommendation for command school, after his two tours of duty of course.
Personality and Psyche Evaluation:
Threycus is very intelligent and can be a very dedicated and focused officer who brings his Andorian passions to any problem he wishes to tackle... But he only drives has hard as he perceives is necessary to complete the job expected of him. He takes no effort to excel and likes nothing more than to game the system to accomplish as little as possible. If underchallenged he will underperform, and may even start playing pranks on the other crew members. On top of this he has the gall to resent the extra scruitiny and follow-up he requires. Not Recommend for Promotion.
