Full Name: Shasta Alexander McNeil

Age:34

Species: Cryoder (Anthropomorphic Malamute Husky ((Canis lupus familiaris sapien))

Homeworld:  Presumably Cryode II as very few of his species exist outside their planetary system

Scientific Background: He learnt most of what he knows from the observations and books read as a child his understanding grew far beyond his young years. However at the age of seventeen he was assimilated by the Borg collective when he took the chance to go along with the councilors aboard "The Nautilus" in the treaty between his planet and the Furganet-Shree. (See "The Nautilus incident") He remained with the Borg for the next 13 years of his lifetime
His escape from the Borg occurred when he was captured by one of the benevolent Species: 9456. They severed his link with the collective, removed most of his Borg parts except for the assimilation tubes and his internal auxiliary memory bank, and re-stimulated his fur growth. The Collective gave much information to him however much of it was lost during the transformation process between Borg and individual. 3 years later he has almost adapted to society but he displays little to no emotions toward any kind of situation that should evoke feelings in a "normal" being.

His work structure is very focused on a single task or objective.  When asked for help by others -for some reason unknown to anyone- he rejects the assistance unless the task at hand cannot be completed without the other party.  Despite being Borg for 13 years his former life still makes a break for the surface in the form of Shasta's unusual fascination with religion. Part of his decision to do something or not comes from the words of a religion,-unless efficiency is at stake-. He believes that this will make him the most acceptable as possible.

Before Assimilation: His goal in life was to invent something that would bring peace between nations, and was determined to in his words "Learn as much about science until his head exploded"

History as a Borg: He was brought into Borg sphere 3524 in the Gamma Quadrant, assisted in the assimilation of Species 7564, 6785, 5437, and the attempt to assimilate Species: 9456 which lead to his separation from the hive mind. During his time as a Borg he could not enter Unimatrix 0. His Borg designation was 8 of 11 Quadranary Adjunct to Borg Sphere Components 56D3 Gamma to 63H7 Theta.

Starfleet History: In his employment in Starfleet he improved the efficiency of captain chair command modules and wrote several holodeck programs simulating subatomic particle interaction in quantum temporal warp velocities.  Other then this he is working on researching a quantum slipstream drive, and the necessary shielding for slipstream velocity.

This is suprisingly one of the more interesting former-Borg bios I have read...  But that's more of a condemnation of most of the former-Borg bios than praise.  You do have a start of a description of a personality and a fairly reasonable transition.  However, because of the potential for abuse and the absence of the Borg from the Deliverance's story line, we are not allowing former borg characters in the story.  At some point we might re-imagine the Borg so they are less disruptive to non-Borg plots, but until we have a good idea on how we can handle them fairly without turning the game inside out borg will just be something that happened once and fortunately haven't been heard from since.

Deliverance is based on an Alternate ending of Deep Space Nine, as such Voyager material isn't appropriate.   This alone would make this character more appropriate for the Moreau, as well as it's technophilia.  Deliverance is meant to be a gritty setting where last generation technology must be used to win the day, because almost all of the current generation ships have either been destroyed or are too few and far between and production of new ships is lagging far behind what is needed.  The Deliverence herself is an Excelsior class (Introduced way back in Star Trek 3) that has been pulled back into active duty from being mothballed because the Starfleet needs any ship it can get.   They are not going to have any time to research quantum Slipstream anything, they are busy trying to keep hundred year old systems running and interoperating with the few new systems that were slapped in place of what was stripped during mothballing.

This bio does shows some potential (though there is always room for improvement), but it just doesn't fit with the mood and theme of the Deliverance.   It does sound like it would work better for the Moreau, would you like me to move this bio to that forum?     Though one thing I would keep in mind is that people who have made their carreer in Star Fleet and have given decades of service may not be eager to trust a department head position to a former borg who has been as an individual adult for less time that they spent in Star Fleet Academy.

My parents went to a planet where the dominant life form had no bilateral symmetry and all I got was this stupid F-shirt.

Yes I'd very much like you to move it to that particular ship, also I'm a bit new to bio writing so if you have a messenger drop me a line so that you may assist me if you have the time to of course as for the exact position cybernistist would be good or anything else that you think an ex-borg would be good for as I'm trying to make things go smoothly for my RP's
